Project Statement: This installation translates mortality data from alcohol and drug-related causes into physical form. Using four key years, 2010, 2015, 2020, and 2021, the piece visualizes gendered disparities while marking the absence of recorded data for transgender and nonbinary communities. By moving this data from a chart to an object, this piece showcases the limits of statistical representation and the lives obscured in the process.
