1 of One is a virtual clothing website where users can try on and customize their clothing to fit their needs digitally, all in one place. We aim to utilize technology to enhance the future of fashion and clothing shopping. Being able to give people the option to “try on” clothes at home and customize them to their desired look and fit is where we see the future of fashion headed. Our goal and mission at 1 of One were to promote individuality by allowing users to customize clothing to their style, desired fit, and body type. We also aimed to create a future of online clothing shopping where waste can be minimized and fast fashion slowed. Having clothing items you see on an online webpage that can be tried on through AI allows users to see if they will like how they look in the items before ordering, in turn reducing returns, donations of the clothes, or the clothing ending up in landfills, because users actually will want to wear them. To create this project, we used Google Geminis AI Studio, Canva, and Visual Studio Code, taking numerous pictures, conducting trial-and-error tests, measuring ourselves, and engaging in extensive discussions.
